A migration from PHP to WordPress delivering a modern, multi-lingual platform with enhanced usability, seamless booking, and payment options.

Problem

An Egypt Tourism website, faced a series of technical and usability challenges due to its outdated PHP framework. The client lacked technical expertise in PHP, making site maintenance difficult, while broken links and complex navigation further hindered user experience. The mission was to migrate the site to a more user-friendly, scalable platform that could be easily managed and updated without coding skills, all while enhancing the site’s functionality and aligning it with modern web standards to support global visitors.

Solution

To bring the website up to standard, we undertook a comprehensive migration and enhancement project with a focus on usability, functionality, and accessibility. Our approach included:

  1. Migration from PHP to WordPress: Transitioning from PHP to WordPress provided a user-friendly platform that streamlined content management, ensured scalability, and enhanced security. This migration set a foundation for future updates without requiring technical skills.

  2. Multilingual Support: To cater to a diverse audience, we added a Spanish version of the website and tailored phone numbers for each country, offering localized contact options and enabling personalized customer service across regions.

  3. Logo and UX Enhancements: We replaced the outdated logo with a new design that aligned with the brand’s visual identity. Additionally, to simplify the booking experience, we removed unnecessary fields from the homepage, allowing users to focus on selecting their destinations without distractions.

  4. Content Management & SEO Improvements: Pages with outdated information, like details about the Grand Museum, were hidden but kept accessible for future updates. We fixed broken links, especially in the blog, to improve navigation and retain SEO performance.

  5. Enhanced Call-to-Action and Online Payment Integration: The main booking button was updated to “Book with Confidence,” creating a clearer call to action. We integrated an online payment system, allowing users to pay via bank transfer, Western Union, or credit card, making the booking process more secure and convenient.

  6. Improved Customer Accessibility: We repaired the WhatsApp link, making it easier for visitors to connect directly for queries or reservations.

Tools Used

  • WordPress: Provided a scalable and user-friendly CMS that empowered the client to manage content without technical skills.
  • Figma: Enabled us to design and test the updated user interface before implementation, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • WooCommerce: Used for integrating and managing the new online payment options.
  • MultilingualPress: Allowed for efficient language localization, improving accessibility for a global audience.

Outcome

The migration to WordPress transformed Tripegytours.com into a dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly website. Multilingual support, a streamlined booking process, fixed navigation issues, and seamless online payments resulted in an enhanced user experience, attracting a broader international audience. The project demonstrates our expertise in not only migrating websites but also enriching them with user-centric features to meet modern web standards. Tripegytours.com is now well-equipped to support its growing customer base with ease, functionality, and confidence.
